OUR TEAM

Oliver Scott has eight years of experience managing small business training and financing institutions, including as Director at OBDC, the top SBA MicroLoan and Community Advantage lender in the nation. He previously served as the National Development Council’s 7(a) Loan Officer in the Pacific Northwest, and the Program Loans Manager of Evergreen Business Capital. Oliver launched an entrepreneurship training program in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he mentored woman-owned, small- and micro-enterprises using the same Centro curriculum Urban Business Support teaches. He was educated at American River College, Pomona College, Oxford University, and Duke University and is fluent in Spanish and French.

OLIVER I SCOTT

Paul Long is Senior Vice President of Business Banking and SBA Lending with Timberland Bank. Paul has been in banking for over 20 years starting a week after his 16th birthday as a teller and raised in the ranks to a Branch Manager at the age of 18 and District Manager leading multiple bank branches at the age 21.

At the age of 25, Paul found his passion of working with small business owners. Since then he has built multiple banks' small business banking divisions, written countless published articles about small business banking, and has funded thousands of business loans over his career.

Paul is proud to be a part of Urban Business Support as he believes that small business education is so important to a successful business.

Paul graduated from Eastern Washington University and lives in the South Sound with his wife Stephanie and sons, Parker & Paxton. ​

Christine Rose, ACC, is an author, speaker, and award-winning ICF and Taylor Protocols CVI™ certified business and executive coach. As CEO of Christine Rose Coaching & Consulting, a boutique coaching firm in the  greater Seattle area, Christine employs her business experience, intuition, and coaching expertise to help business leaders grow their leadership skills, teams, and organizations. A mom of two adult daughters, she’s a member of Forbes Coaches Council, graduate of Georgetown University (B.S. Business Administration) and Coach U’s Advanced Corporate Coaching Program, and holds a Fundraising Management Certificate from the University of Washington. Christine is a volunteer facilitator for ICF Washington and coach for the ICF Global in the United Nations Ignite Global program coaching NPO executives. She is delighted to serve as Board Secretary for Urban Business Support, and on advisory boards for Educational Communities World Wide and Attain Housing (a homeless housing agency near Seattle). She enjoys reading, hiking the beautiful Pacific Northwest trails, and travel.

CHRISTINE ROSE

Arturo has more than 20 years of work experience as a management consultant, specializing in economic development, strategy, governance, risk management, finance, and organizational change management. He has earned an MBA in Strategic Management and Leadership from Peter F. Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University and a BA in Economics as well as a concentration in Finance from Haas School of Business of U.C Berkeley.
